Hello. This is my first post to the forum.
I am writing with a new and (maybe) odd concept for the iPods with big storage.
I have an iPod video 5g that has recently lost it's audio-out. I might be able to resolve this, but still use it to hold my extra data (like an 80gb pendrive). What I just thought of when I was searching for my USB DVD drive to reinstall a net book, I thought it would be a good idea to write an app for the iPod that allows a daemon-tools-like service, where the iPod appears as a USB DVD drive to mount images on.
Firstly, this would prove faster (access time and average read speed), and secondly, for peeps that do t want to carry cd/dvd's and multiple pendrives and stuff.
Unfortunately I'm no coder, so I wouldn't know how to do this. I am able to test this if someone tries to do it.
It would be nice to see at least a couple of formats working (iso, mdf (alcohol))but will settle for just iso.
Regards,
Drtoxic

It has just occured to me that the largest file on fat32 is down at 3gb, so a possibility to have image parts would be good (though challenging for programming) such as (file.rar; file.part1) but with Isos, which would induce pc-software, too. Sorry if this is a pain-in-the-hide request, and I understand if you tell me to take my idea, go forth and ...well, you get it.

Sorry, I meant to type 'split the iso files, such as rar example'. iPod touch 4g screen is too small. Lol.
