Hey there,
my left channel does not work. What i all tried to fix it is here described maybe somebody can help me :-) i also do not know the english word for "klinke plug" its the usual tiny 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable plug on headphones and mp3 players to connect them.
i got a iaudio x5 form a friend a while ago, because he managed to break one of the (three) tiny legs with whom the black headphoneklinke box is connected to the board and so one channel didn´t worked. (he had a big klinke plug on it and breaked it mechanical during use) so i soldered that and it worked and now its mine :-)
that thing broke several times until i came to the idea, to glue the black box in the board and solder it that what worked for a long time.
The iaudio got a lot of freezes until he didn´t start the software wich i fixed with a akku change.
The next problem, was that it just started succesfully, when i pushed my headphone plug to the top else it just freezed during starting. I fixed that with finally installing rockbox and everything was fine.
Until there seemed to be that loose connection again, so no sound on the left channel when i do not push up the headphone klinke plug up to the top. The strange thing is, that when i meassure the resistance from the board to the cable there seems to be no loose contact. No matter how much in drill or bend the klinke plug in the socket.
And if i don´t push up the plug during the starting progress i´ll recive no sound.
I found out, that when i push it up hard i just short circuit the two channels and then i have sound on both sides...
Change the balance form one to the other side has no effect to the sound. Also no difference in mono or stereo settings. But i think to hear both channels but not seperated to left or right.
Also that there is a perfect stereo sound through the subpack to an amplifier let me thing that there is no damage in the amplifiyng section of my player. Can somebody help me?
sorry for the bad english, i hope that somebody understood what my problem is and i will be very happy about any helping suggestions.
Best regards,
Jannik
