Welcome to the Rockbox Technical Forums!
Okay, this is the first time I have ever put Rockbox onto a music player. I have the Fuze V2 and went to install using the utility and it came up with this box :"Bootloader installation requires you to provide a firmware file of the original firmware (bin file). You need to download this file yourself due to legal reasons. Please browse the Sansa Forums' or refer to the manual and the SansaAMS wiki page on how to obtain the file. Press OK to continue and browse your computer for the firware file."What do I do next?
But I don't know what I am looking for. I tried to search for the file, but got nowhere. Would I be able to use the Sansa updater to find out the firmware version and if so, would that help me?EDIT : I opened it up and the Sansa Updater says I have version 2.03.33 firmware.
Now it throws up a couple of errors. The first says "[ERR] OF File provided is Fuzev2 version 2.03.33, not for Clipv2"The second says "Could not load C:/Users/.../fuzpa.bin" (i took out the personal info)What now? It seems as if the link for the Fuze V2 version of Rockbox is actually the one for the Clip V2. I made sure to click the right button. What went wrong?
Should I have put the firmware stuff on the player?
