Strange database issue

I put podcasts in the podcast directory, but when I update the database along with the ones that i put in some other ones of the same podcast show up. if I delete the folder and put it back again the same things happens
any ideas?

I'm not sure I quite follow the question - are you saying that there are duplicates in the database? If so, you likely have copies left in the recycle bin directory that Windows creates - try running the disktidy plugin. If you have an ipod, it is possible that you have copies in the ipod_control folder if itunes transferred them at some point.
Once you have checked for this, recreate the database.

it says that the files are located in "recycled"

When you delete files in Windows it doesn't actually delete them, it puts them in the recycle bin. This means it moves the files into a hidden folder called recycled. Only when you actually empty the recycle bin does it delete them.

I did that but they didn't go away. they show up in a folder on the sansa called recycled

So run the disktidy plugin like I said.
This is a Windows issue, disktidy will remove left over stuff from Windows (and other OSes).
