I asked, directly, "Where is convbdf?" It's right there in the title; perhaps I should have restated it in the body of the message but I should hope very little inference should be needed to understand said question. I'm entirely open to the idea that I asked that question in the wrong place, and perhaps that I should have repeated it more frequently, however whether this warrants a condescending and unfriendly attitude, I am unsure; I'm am sure, however, that (like almost all long term message board posters) you deal with a lot of thoughtlessly annoying posters, so perhaps that influences your attitude toward those you feel are asking the wrong question on the wrong board.
The reason I didn't directly ask "is convbdf still in the source bundle?" is because it seemed to me that "Where is convbdf?" kind of covered that, and the more generalised question was the one which would actually garner an answer I could use, rather than a "Yes" or "No" which would have still left me without knowledge about where to go from there. As I say, I imagine you are correct in saying that the question should have been posed on the development and compiling board; I just think that perhaps your knowledge could be shared without simultaneously alienating new posters. Either way, I doubt our debating it serves the project any more than does intimidating said project's users, so I won't press the issue any further.
