Cowon X5 & Sansa V2 e280 need a new home, for spares or repairs
« on: February 19, 2009, 08:44:37 PM »
Hi Guys,

I have a couple of mp3 players that are sitting around collecting dust. Both of them are a little worse for wear.

The cowon works, HDD is fine 30 GB , screen case but the control stick is not so hot the earphone jack not long makes contact. I replaced the battery and since then have not used it. So if anyone would like this to help keep one of their players alive please let me know.

The Sansa V2 e280 I managed to smash the screen quite impressivly and now the units will turn on for about 10 seconds and then switch off again. I did nothing more than to snap the screen and it should with a new screen work again, maybe.

I am registered blind but have a little bit of central vision when using a magnifier. So any takers let me know, I am actively supporting the V2 work on the Sansa so if any developers on there want it to cannibalise then let me know. The X5 can go to a caring home, it comes with a case and usb stand and litter tray.

I'm interested in the X5.  Are you willing to ship it across the Atlantic (I'm in Canada)?  Or are you looking exclusively for someone local?

I'm not in any particular rush.  My current X5 is still in good shape.  And I have experience re-soldering the headphone jack (mine wore out too).

What kind of payment were you expecting?

I have a Cowon X5L here that could use some repairs (bad battery, cracked plastic over LCD, no HDD). Let me know if you'll be all right with me "Frankensteining" your X5 to use the parts on mine (or vice versa).
