well, I sometimes have to do my recording 'stealth' because the owner of the venue doesn't like recording even if I have an agreement with the artist that I can record the shows.
And if I would do a (stealth) recording of another show and only use it for personal listening, I see that as making a copy of my own CD for backup / ease of use purposes, not copyright infringement.
Depending on where you live, both of these could still be illegal.
Depending on where you live, ripping DVDs for personal use, or removing iTunes DRM is not illegal, yet we still ask people not to discuss it here.
Whether you sell it or not, in some places it's a violation. All I'm asking is that you not talk about hiding recorders from the proprietors and/or those being recorded.
C'mon guys, I know you're bright. Think phrases like "when I'm recording a show, I like being able to have the screen off so as not to distract other fans." It has legitimate uses in situations where you have full permissions too, discuss it in terms of those aspects.
