Hi I'm new here and probably hopelessly naïve but I wonder if anyone can help..
I have a Sansa C200 (v1) with the latest Rockbox version installed (via the installer utility) - and I have an 8gb MicroSD card
My original plan was to use the 1gb on-board memory to rotate new albums and have one big directory on the 8gb MicroSD card containing all my favourite tunes - then I could either play new albums as and when I get them, or put the player into shuffle mode and have a best-of going on
PROBLEM - shuffle mode seems to work OK for about 30 minutes (or 8-10 songs) - then it just stops and the player won't play anything else. I have to reset it.
I thought it might be because I have so many so songs (1600) on the MicroSD card, so I set the Limits to their max ie
Max Entries In File Browser is set to 10,000
Max Playlist Size is set to 32000
but it didn't resolve the problem.
The Database seems to be very confused too - it has multiple entries for the same song and just doesn't appear to work as it should full stop!
So are these known problems? Should I adopt an alternate approach to achieve my aims? The reason I went with one large directory was because the shuffle only seemed to shuffle everything in the current directory so splitting my files into smaller directories (ie for artits/album etc) seemed a non-starter.
Any help/advice appreciated!
