You're asking for support for a version of Rockbox that's over two years old! The forum guidelines clearly state that you should be running a current build, or as current as you can get.

The player won't leave this mode until you reset it; therefore you should be able charging just fine. After it charged you then can update your build and bootloader.
Disk mode happens before Rockbox code is run. Try it again, it'll usually work even with extremely low power, and if it's not working you're most likely just doing it wrong.
So emergency mode is the same as disc mode
