Problem with iAudio X5 and synchronizing
« on: January 26, 2008, 01:33:10 PM »
First, i apologize for my bad english

I installed Rockbox today on my iAudio X5 and suddenly several problems occurred. The worst is that I am no longer able to synchronise with iTunes Agent (by the way, I am running on Windows SP1 or 2). It says : Synchronizing 'IAUDIO'...
Error occured while checking for deleted tracks: Failed to translate track information according to the defined pattern for this device (Object reference not set to an instance of an object.).

This problem might be connected with the fact that for some time, tracks that have been deleted with Windows Explorer and couldn't be found there, still were listenable in the iAudio-HDD-Player itself. After a defragmentation this Problem was solved, but iTunes Agent still doesn't work. And even worse, although i change firmware to old settings without Rockbox, it doesn't work either.

Other symptoms for the fact that something might be wrong is that I cannot  disconnect hardware properly. Don't know why.

Still hopeful I tried it to synchronize with iTunes sync, but this prog is not even able to find my iAudio as a device.

Has anybody got an idea how to solve this problem? I searched a whole day for a solution, and this is my last hope!!

Thanks
Chris

Rockbox on the iAudio is a standard UMS device when mounted on your PC.  If this doesn't work with some app you have, you'll need to report it to the developer of that app.

Since this isn't an installation question, I'm closing this thread.
