Dear RockBox creators/programmers/technical gurus everywhere,
It's the most amazing thing when you watch something happen that you had previously thought to be impossible. I wanted a video player for as long as I can remember, but only had a 1GB 1st Gen iPod Nano that I got a while back. I couldn't understand why Apple hadn't put on video support, if it could display pictures, I reasoned, it could play videos (excuse my oversimplied technical ignorrance). Finally a few days ago I went online to search for something that could possibly let me play videos. Finally I came upon this site, and downloaded Rockbox onto my iPod. Then I got excited after reading about the .mpg video player plugin. And after downloading VLC and following all the instructions I got a video on my iPod. I hit 'PLAY' and was instantly blown away. There I was watching a video, formatted perfectly, on my iPod nano. I don't mind the small screen size, and was amazed at the audio quality. So here's to you Rockbox community, for making my day. I look forward to utilizing this feature in the months to come. Thanks for making see the impossible!
Best Regards,
Josh Moskowitz.
One more thing, what I could not find here:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/IpodRuntime#Results was a battery life for video playback. Does one exist, or should I make one?
P.S Hope this post belongs in this forum.
