New to ROCKbox: A small question :D
« on: August 09, 2007, 06:03:31 AM »
Hi there!

I installed ROCKbox the first time on my H320 and it does it's job very well (I wish the UI was a little bit more "friendly" looking like the old Iriver-UI but hey - you can't get erverything today :D ;) ).

But there's 1 Question which let me assume that there was something strange with my installation.

In the uninstall-manual there are the following lines:

To use remove the Rockbox files, but retain the Rockbox bootloader:

   1. Delete the rockbox.iriver file.
   2. Delete the .rockbox directory.

There is a rockbox.iriver file on my 320 but it's in the ".rockbox" directory. Is it supposed to be in the root-directory (there is only a file named "iRivNavi")?

Or is your uninstallation description just complicated :D (when I delete the .rockbox directory the rockbox.iriver file is gone automatically since it's in that directory).

Greetings

Timo

Well, not complicated so much as outdated.  The rockbox.iriver file used to be in the root.  At some point a few months back, it was moved to be in the .rockbox directory.  We need to update the instructions.
