How do the "Hold" and "Shuffle" buttons work? For most of the physical switches I've seen, up==off and down=on, but the light on "Shuffle" in the example looks like it's on. Is it a case of "towards the label" is on? If so, seems a bit inconsistent.

I think that is the convention for mechanical switches. I am certainly not familiar with many cases of toggle switches oriented so that down==ON.

This appears to be true in the US, but isn't the case here in the UK.Down is definitely On here, and Up is off.
