As a reminder, I have a 60GB 5G iPod.
For reference below, message 1:
Searching... 0 found ()
and message 2:
Searching... 0 found (PLAY/PAUSE to abort)
Build r13609-070610:Navigating in the database gives message 1, then 2, before showing the "folder".
Sometimes when navigating, message 2 says "8 found" instead of "0 found". (tried in numerous "folders" with different amounts of songs/artists/etc, with only either 0 or 8 found)
Choosing "Database" from the main menu or returning to the database from the "now playing" (don't know the official name, the screen with the progress bar) screen shows 1-2-1-2, before showing the database.
Choosing "Database" from the main menu when the database is not initialised:
Database is not ready
Initialize now
SELECT = YES
Any other = NO
Select successfully builds the database. Any other button press returns to the main menu. Scrolling causes the freeze mentioned in this thread.
It hasn't frozen during playback so far (using database).
Build r13764-070702 (only used for a couple minutes):Same as above, but navigating in database seems to only give each message once, instead of twice each. Sometimes only message 1 appears to be shown, but it could be that its just flashing too fast for me to see it. Sometimes messages 1-2-1 are shown, but this could again be because its flashing too fast.
EDIT:
Ooh! I just got halted playback and:
Undefined instruction
at 16ABE4FA
(Not in the style of the normal messages, it's tiny white text on top of the last thing shown on the screen)
I got a similar message once before on a different build, but at C0EDBABE. Not sure if it was the same "Undefined instruction".
... And while writing that...
Data abort
at 000371F0
I have a hunch this is unrelated, so sorry in advance for flooding the thread with unrelated information.
...and
Undefined instruction
at 00037D84
EDIT 2: the messages in that edit came during playback.
EDIT 3: "Data abort at 00000002". I think we get the idea that this is going to keep happening, but I thought maybe the memory addresses might mean something to you.
